Serhiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration, said the attack damaged an infrastructure facility and several apartment buildings. Parts of the city’s Peresyp district were left without electricity, and repair crews were working to restore power.
Updated at 9:10 a.m. Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said two people were injured in the overnight attack on Odesa Oblast. Energy facilities and an administrative building were damaged.
The strike cut power to several settlements in the region and to one neighborhood in Odesa. Heat and water supplies have already been restored, while repair work continues.
A response headquarters and a warming center were set up at the site of the strike in Odesa.
Earlier overnight, Lysak reported that two people had been injured. One private house was destroyed and four others were damaged as a result of the Russian attack.
Russia also launched Shahed drones overnight at other regions, including Zhytomyr Oblast and Kyiv, where a fire broke out at a non-residential building, Jan. 12.
