An industrial facility was damaged in a massive Russian drone and missile attack in the Drohobych district of the western Ukrainian Lviv Oblast, regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyy reported on Telegram on June 6.
Several villages on the outskirts of Lviv are without electricity due to damaged power lines. Efforts to restore power are underway.
According to Kozytskyy, three Russian missiles were shot down over the oblast overnight.
The attack on Lviv Oblast was part of a massive, wide-scale Russian assault on Ukraine involving dozens of cruise and ballistic missiles and over a hundred drones targeting civilian infrastructure and densely populated areas throughout the country.
At least four people were killed and 20 others were injured in Kyiv. Widespread damage and fires were reported in various parts of the Ukrainian capital.
