Two people were killed after Russian forces struck critical infrastructure in Oleksandriia, Kirovohrad Oblast, on Oct. 7, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, Oleksandriia Mayor Serhii Kuzmenko reported that one woman had been killed and three other people injured in the attack, while contact had been lost with two more people.
A local enterprise was hit in the strike, Kuzmenko said.
The attack on Oleksandriia came during a large-scale overnight Russian assault on Ukraine involving ballistic and cruise missiles, including Kalibr missiles, missiles launched by strategic bombers, and attack drones.
Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhya and Kremenchuk overnight.
Russia also struck a residential building in Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast. Rescue crews were working through the rubble.
Two people were reported killed and seven injured there.
