Russian strikes leave parts of three Ukrainian regions without power

According to the ministry, power outages were recorded in the Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“Work to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and restore electricity supply to consumers is ongoing,” the ministry said.

Officials added that the situation remains difficult in the Kyiv and Odesa regions. Energy crews are working around the clock there to repair damage and stabilize the grid.

Nationwide, hourly rolling blackouts and capacity limits for businesses and industrial facilities remain in effect. In some regions, emergency power cuts have been introduced due to the strained condition of the energy system, the ministry emphasized.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Feb. 9 that strict blackout schedules would be imposed on Tuesday and Wednesday because of low temperatures.

He also said the government plans to review the list of critical infrastructure facilities to free up more electricity for household consumers.

Overall, Russia launched 129 drones at Ukraine overnight into Feb. 11. Ukrainian authorities reported that 15 strike drones hit targets at eight locations.
