Russian troops seize Sribne village in Donetsk Oblast – DeepState

The Russian troops have occupied the village of Sribne in Pokrovsk district, Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState monitoring group wrote on Feb. 17.

Additionally, Russian forces have advanced near the settlements of Dachne, Novosilka, and Ulakly in Donetsk Oblast, as well as Fyholivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

Situation near Pokrovsk 

Jan. 10: The head of the Pokrovsk Military Administration, Serhii Dobriak, reported that the frontline was just a few kilometers from Pokrovsk, with most of the city's critical infrastructure destroyed.

Jan. 12: Ukrainian military sources said that the Russian forces had changed tactics in the Pokrovsk direction, attempting to bypass the city from the south and west to reach Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Feb. 10: DeepState analysts noted that Ukrainian forces had restored their positions in two areas along the Pokrovsk sector.

Feb. 14: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the situation in the Pokrovsk direction had improved in recent days.

Feb. 16: Ukraine’s Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group reported that a series of counterattacks by Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk sector had been partially successful, leading to the Pishchane village liberation.

The UK intelligence highlighted that the Russian forces in the Pokrovsk area are focusing on cutting off Ukrainian supply lines, which has resulted in significant Russian losses.
