The caption accompanying the image says it shows the aftermath of a strike on Russia's Borisoglebsk air base.
"The fuel and lubricants storage facility, built in the winter of 2023, was destroyed," the caption said.
Overnight into July 8, reports emerged of drone attacks on the Russian cities of Saratov and Borisoglebsk. Reports indicated a possible fire at the military air base, which hosts Sukhoi Su-34, Sukhoi Su-35, Sukhoi Su-30SM and other military aircraft.
Ukraine's General Staff later confirmed that the air base in Russia's Voronezh Oblast had been struck.
In July 2025, the General Staff reported the destruction of an aircraft during an attack on the same air base.
Ukrainian drones also targeted the Borisoglebsk air base in October 2024. At the time, Ukrainian officials said drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces and other elements of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck warehouses storing guided aerial bombs, parking areas for Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft, and aviation fuel storage facilities at the base.
