Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) drones struck an ammunition depot in the village of Soldatske, located in Russia’s Voronezh region, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported on Sep. 7.

Sources said the depot had been actively used by the Russian military to transport equipment into Ukraine, making it a target for the SBU’s drone attack.

The SBU reported four major fires at the site, with ammunition detonations continuing non-stop.

Earlier that morning, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, claimed that "in the Ostrogozhsky district, air defense forces and electronic warfare systems detected and neutralized an unmanned aerial vehicle."

Local authorities declared a state of emergency and decided to temporarily evacuate residents of the village to a nearby settlement.
