Four dead, dozens hurt as Russian strikes ravage residential blocks in Kyiv

Direct impacts, structural destruction, and extensive fires were recorded across Svyatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, and Solomyanskyi districts.
In Svyatoshynskyi District, a missile struck an industrial facility, igniting fires across two warehouse buildings spanning 500 and 1,000 square meters, as well as a third adjacent warehouse measuring 500 square meters. First responders recovered one deceased victim at the scene and worked to extricate another person trapped beneath the debris.
In Solomyanskyi District, strikes partially destroyed the eighth and ninth floors of a nine-story residential building, with flames engulfing floors seven through nine. Blast waves shattered windows across several apartment blocks and a medical clinic, while fires consumed private vehicles, a grocery store, and garages. Firefighters successfully extinguished a 60-square-meter garage fire. Civilians remained trapped inside two residential buildings and a school shelter as rescue operations progressed.
In Darnytskyi District, strikes hit a non-residential site, setting fire to warehouses and parked vehicles across roughly 1,000 square meters. Emergency crews rescued one individual from the site.
SES rescue teams and emergency personnel continue working at the impacted sites, while casualty counts and the full extent of structural damage are being updated.
