The company said this was the seventh targeted attack since the start of October.
“Fortunately, no people were injured — that is the most important thing," Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi said.
"Specialists are working at the strike site: they are assessing the consequences and starting restoration. None of the facilities hit by Russia have any military value."
He stressed that the sole aim of these strikes is to deprive Ukrainians of gas and heat.
“Thanks to all colleagues who are working to restore the Naftogaz group’s facilities attacked by Russia,” Koretskyi added.
On Oct. 16, the aggressor’s forces for the sixth time since the start of October massively attacked Ukraine’s gas infrastructure; a number of facilities in several oblasts were forced to stop operating.
On the night of Oct. 15, the aggressor’s army attacked a Naftogaz group CHP plant.
On the night of Oct. 12, Russian forces struck energy and gas-transmission facilities across Ukraine, damaging objects in Donetsk, Odesa and Chernihiv oblasts.
On Oct. 10, Russia attacked DTEK thermal power plants.
According to Bloomberg, Russian attacks have destroyed 60% of gas production in Ukraine, including as a result of massive strikes on Kharkiv and Poltava oblasts.
