Drone debris causes fire and casualties in Kyiv Oblast

One person was killed, and four others were injured in the Kyiv Oblast in a Russian Shahed drone attack overnight, Kyiv Regional Military Administration acting head, Mykola Kalashnyk, wrote on Jan. 3.

Updated at 07:27: The attack resulted in damage recorded in three districts, State Emergency Service (SES) reported. In Bila Tserkva district, four private residential buildings and one utility structure were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the houses, swiftly extinguished by rescuers. In Brovary district, a truck was damaged, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old driver. In Fastiv district, a 22-year-old woman was injured.

Four people are injured as of now: a 16-year-old boy is among the wounded, he was hospitalized.

Overnight on Jan. 3, the Russian forces again launched drones at Ukraine. Air defense systems operated in Kyiv Oblast. 

Drone debris fell in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of the capital, with no reported casualties.
