Sikorski warns Russia may stage false-flag attack using Ukrainian drones

Sikorski confirmed during a visit to the United States that Poland expects such a Russian provocation, adding that Ukrainian drones could play a key role in it.
“Putin even said something similar about a month ago,” Sikorski said.
“He said: if a NATO member state attacks us, we will respond. So we suspect that he is planning to prepare Ukrainian drones and use them to attack a NATO member state or Russia, and then respond to such an attack.”
Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin may resort to such actions “especially because he is desperate and losing,” Sikorski said.
“Regimes like this always act this way,” he said.
“I will remind you of the Gleiwitz provocation in 1939, when Abwehr agents dressed as Polish soldiers seized radio stations on the territory of the then-Reich. Our message to Vladimir Putin is this: we know what you are planning — do not do it.”
The United States warned that Russia may be planning an armed “provocation” on Polish territory, The Telegraph reported on July 3, citing sources.
The possible scenarios include missile strikes, drone attacks or Russian troops crossing the border.
