The U.S. State Department revised its travel recommendations for Ukraine, lowering the advisory level for nine oblasts from "Do Not Travel" (Level 4) to "Reconsider Travel" (Level 3), Ukraine's Ambassador to the U.S Oksana Markarova wrote on Nov. 15.

She highlighted its significance for business and institutional visits to Ukraine.

The adjusted advisory now applies to Volyn, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattya, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr oblasts.

“This decision helps balance safety precautions while enabling greater opportunities for business, organizational, and institutional cooperation in Ukraine,” Markarova said.

She expressed gratitude to the U.S. for the updated recommendations and emphasized continued efforts to secure defense aid and foster investment.

The U.K. has also revised its travel guidelines for western Ukraine earlier this year, permitting essential travel to similar regions under specific conditions.
