Missile strike practically destroys chalk factory in Russia's Belgorod Oblast

Missile strike likely hit a chalk factory in Alekseyevka in Russia's Belgorod Oblast, the Pepel Belgorod Telegram channel wrote on June 23, publishing corresponding photos.

"The factory building was practically destroyed in the strike," the caption to the photo reads.

It is claimed that this is the second recent strike on the territory of Melzavod EGA [chalk factory - ed.].

On June 2, a fire broke out at the enterprise after the UAV attack.

Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ also published photos of the aftermath.

Earlier on June 23, missile threat was declared in 14 Russian oblasts, local media reported.

According to open data, Melzavod EGA is engaged in the extraction and primary processing of non-metallic minerals. The enterprise's main activity is the extraction of decorative and building stone, limestone, gypsum, chalk, and shale. The extraction and primary processing of limestone and gypsum stone is listed as an additional activity.
