Russian strike on Odesa kills woman, injures 17, damages historic center

Rescuers found the woman’s body and continued searching for another woman under the debris. 

Among the injured were a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl; one person was hospitalized, while others received outpatient care. Earlier reports noted 13 injured. 

The attack destroyed residential buildings, a kindergarten, and an inclusive center in Odesa’s historic district, with emergency services addressing the aftermath. 

Russia also targeted Kyiv city, Zaporizhzhya, Chernihiv, and Kyiv oblasts with drones, cruise, and ballistic missiles from June 16 evening, killing 14 and injuring over 100 in Kyiv, six in Odesa Oblast, and one each in Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts. 

In Zaporizhzhya, a high-rise and dormitory were damaged, with over 50 apartments’ windows blown out.
