Most Ukrainians dissatisfied with government's response to Kyiv shooting - NV

Over 650 people participated in the poll on the morning of April 20.

"Are you satisfied with the authorities' reaction to the terrorist shooting in Kyiv?" Radio NV asked its listeners.

The responses were distributed as follows:

Satisfied, because top-level resignations are the right reaction — 10%

Not entirely, it didn't affect those who issued the weapons license — 16%

Not satisfied, there is no feeling that this cannot happen again — 74%.

Terrorist attack in Kyiv

Seven people died and 14 were injured as a result of a shooting in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district on April 18. The man who orchestrated the shooting took hostages and killed one of them. The attacker killed four more people right on the street. Four hostages were successfully rescued.

The attacker lived in Donetsk Oblast for a long time but was born in Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed.

Footage of the Kyiv terrorist attack appeared online on April 19, showing two police officers running in different directions after shots were fired, leaving behind civilians, including a child.

Screams and gunshots can be heard in the video, and one of the men in civilian clothes fleeing the shooter falls to the ground.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko instructed National Police Head Ivan Vyhivskyi to conduct an internal investigation into the law enforcement officers' actions during the terrorist attack and to provide all information to the State Bureau of Investigation. The police officers were suspended from their duties for the duration of the probe.

Patrol Police Head Yevhen Zhukov announced his decision to leave his post due to the behavior of police officers during the terrorist attack on April 19.
