According to case materials, in September 2023, Leonid Mokvytskyi, a native of Kryvyi Rih, began engaging in pimping in Lviv with an assistant. She handled organizational duties, while he managed all processes.
All earnings were to be split between them, with some funds planned for expanding their network of similar establishments.
They rented an apartment, turning it into a place for prostitution, and also arranged for sex workers to visit clients by appointment.
The women’s work was strictly controlled, with fines imposed for missing shifts or breaking rules, such as being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Until June 2024, they continued their activities, but in December 2023, the police uncovered the brothel.
A client, under police supervision, booked a service for 2,700 UAH ($64) using specially marked bills. Afterward, he selected one of four prostitutes, who provided intimate services.
In court, Mokvytskyi pleaded guilty and reached a plea agreement with the prosecution. Judge Liudmyla Myronenko found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 302 and Part 2 of Article 303 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
He was sentenced to four years in prison. However, the court suspended his sentence with a one-year probation period.
Additionally, he was ordered to donate 908,400 UAH (almost $25k) to a National Guard unit.
