Biden highlighted the threat posed by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s imperialistic ambitions.
“He will not stop at Ukraine,” he said.
“Poland and Belarus may become the next targets.”
Biden slammed Trump for his comments regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
"I've never heard so much nonsense in my life," he noted.
Trump claimed that Putin does not respect the incumbent U.S. President.
"If we had a real president whom Putin respects, he would never have invaded Ukraine," he claimed, without adding any context.
Trump reiterated that he would end the war if re-elected, but again refused to provide specific details about his plans.
"I will make sure that the war is decided between Putin and Zelenskyy," Trump said.
Both candidates admitted that Putin’s “peaceful” proposals regarding Ukraine are unacceptable for the USA.
Trump repeated his previous statements about Europe spending much less to support Ukraine than the United States.
He did not clarify whether he opposes Ukraine's accession to NATO either.
