Turkey is ready to host the next round of peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan reiterated during the March 17 phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei, Reuters reported, citing Turkey's foreign ministry.
Fidan emphasized the risks posed by the prolonged war for both countries and the international order, while the ministers also addressed issues related to energy security.
They also discussed cooperation between Russia and Turkey in the energy sector, focusing in particular on the security of the Blue Stream and Turkish Stream gas pipelines.
On March 11, the Kremlin claimed that the next round of trilateral Ukraine-U.S.-Russia talks on ending the war in Ukraine could take place in Istanbul.
