Power goes out twice during Zelenskyy’s interview at Mariinskyi Palace — video

The president said that Ukraine intends to purchase 27 Patriot air defense systems from the U.S. manufacturers.

Overnight on Nov. 8, Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with 503 strike drones and missiles of different types, targeting facilities in Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

The energy company Centrenergo reported that as a result of the strikes, two thermal power plants — Zmiivska TPP in Kharkiv Oblast and Trypilska TPP in Kyiv Oblast — have stopped operating.
