U.S., partners in talks with Kyiv to acquire acoustic drone detection tech

The United States and several Persian Gulf countries are in talks with Ukraine about recreating Kyiv’s acoustic drone‑detection network to counter Iranian attack drones, the Financial Times reported on March 6.

On March 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine would assist the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to counter swarms of cheap Iranian strike drones, adding that Kyiv is open to trading its interceptor drone technology for Patriot air defense ammunition.
