U.S. forces cripple or destroy 50+ Iranian ships as naval war escalates

The command noted that in the first 10 days of the operation, the U.S. hit over 5,000 Iranian targets.

They specified that the targets included command centers, IRGC facilities, ballistic missile positions, air defense systems, and missile and drone production sites.

To hit Iran's targets, American forces used B-1, B-2, and B-52 strategic bombers, F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets, strike drones, as well as Patriot and THAAD missile systems.

On March 6, the head of U.S. Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, stated that the United States had sunk 30+ Iranian ships.

U.S. President Donald Trump said that as a result of American strikes, "58% of Iranian missile launchers have already been disabled," and the country, in his estimation, will be "thrown back 10 years" before it can recover.

The joint operation against Iran, codenamed Lion's Roar (Israel) and Epic Fury (USA), has been ongoing since Feb. 28. As a result of the strikes on Tehran, 86-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed. Dozens of high-ranking Iranian officials have also been eliminated.

In response, Iran attacked Israel and launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Persian Gulf countries, where American military bases, embassies, and oil facilities were hit.
