Ukrainian military experts, working in Saudi Arabia for over a week, discussed key aspects of air defense, focusing on approaches to destroying drones, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported after a meeting with the military on March 27.

He was briefed on the team's initial results and conclusions at both the operational and broader levels. They also discussed the key requirements for strengthening Saudi Arabia's air defense, particularly regarding methods for shooting down UAVs.

"The main task of our air defense experts in this region is to identify problematic issues and determine what changes are needed to enhance the protection of people and lives from Iranian Shaheds and missiles," he noted.

Ukrainian experts have already managed to significantly share their experience, the president emphasized.

"Ukraine's expertise is unique — this is recognized, and that is exactly why everyone is so interested in our technologies and experience," he noted.

"Ukraine is ready to support the defense of those who help it defend its independence and is open to long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation."

Ukraine has already sent three teams of experts to the Middle East to help combat Iranian drones, Ukrainian President said on March 10.

Ukrainian authorities are discussing supply of air defense missiles with Middle Eastern partners in exchange for a drone deal, he reported the same day. Specifically, the supply of PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles was discussed, he said.

228 Ukrainian experts are now in the Middle East, Zelenskyy clarified on March 20. They are working in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Jordan.
