"First of all, we are building the power of Ukraine as a weapons manufacturer," he said.
"We have already had our first successes, I cannot disclose more, but the greatest emphasis is on missile production."
Kamyshin did not provide specific figures on the production capacity of the Ukrainian defense industry but noted that it had doubled over the past month.
He said that Ukraine wants to become the largest arms producer in Europe. The country is currently working on expanding the largest weapons complexes to gradually increase the sector's production capacity.
"Ukraine will become an arms arsenal of the free world and an expert in conventional warfare," Kamyshin concluded.
"We want our country to become the largest arms manufacturer in Europe."
On June 8, during the Big Day with NV. Dialogues on Ukraine's Recovery event, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that the country has good prospects of having its own missiles with a range of over 1,000 kilometers.
