Ukraine's drone production could reach 5 million yearly — Presidential Advisor Kamyshin

Ukraine currently has over 150 manufacturers capable of producing up to 100,000 drones per month, according to Ukrainian official Kamyshin. Despite funding challenges in 2024, Ukrainian producers have managed to manufacture more than 2 million drones.

On March 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is focused on ramping up drone production and accelerating its missile program.

Earlier in March, Zelenskyy revealed that the Ukrainian Long Neptune missile had been successfully tested and deployed in combat. He also confirmed that a new Ukrainian drone, capable of flying 3,000 kilometers, had been tested.

In a March 12 report, the Wall Street Journal highlighted how defense startups, partnering with Ukrainian manufacturers, have created improved drones after American models underperformed on the battlefield, aiming to produce more effective, war-tested technology for the U.S. military.
