Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces struck a logistics base of Russia’s covert Rubicon drone center near Mariupol in the village of Mangush overnight, the military said on Apr. 17.

A series of strikes on Russian targets were carried out by drones of the Special Operations Forces’ Middle-strike unit.

The SOF said the Rubicon unit uses against Ukraine’s Defense Forces nearly all types of strike and reconnaissance drones available to Russia, except for Shahed drones.

The unit is equipped with standard and fiber-optic FPV drones, Molniya and Lancet strike UAVs, ZALA, Orlan and SuperCam reconnaissance drones, as well as naval drones.

On the night of April 16, pilots of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck a workshop and a drone warehouse of the Russian Rubicon unit in the Donetsk region.

On March 18, the SOF carried out a series of strikes on a secret base of the Russian Rubicon center, as well as drone coordination points and ammunition depots in the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region.
