Ukrainian company OneDefence developed Kibchyk drone interceptor, designed to destroy enemy unmanned aerial vehicles without direct collision.

The development appeared on the Brave1 state defense-tech marketplace in July 2026.

The state-of-the-art drone is primarily engineered to intercept strike drones, specifically Shahed-type UAVs.

The aircraft is capable of accelerating up to 420 kilometers per hour. In the terminal phase of engagement, the homing head locks onto the target, after which a laser proximity sensor triggers warhead detonation. Consequently, no direct physical collision with the enemy UAV occurs.

Key technical specifications:

  • Cruising speed: 250 km/h
  • Maximum speed: 420 km/h
  • Operational range: 20 km
  • Flight ceiling: 6.8 km
  • Flight endurance: 10 min
  • Payload capacity: 0.4 kg
  • Unit cost: $2,000
  • Diameter: 25.4 cm

The interceptor features both daylight and thermal imaging cameras, utilizing an analog video transmission channel.

Engineered around a modular architecture, the system allows operators to rapidly mount the battery pack, wings, camera payload, and warhead immediately prior to deployment.

Auxiliary control surfaces operate in synchronization with the motors to deliver enhanced maneuverability and flight stability.

According to Defender Media, the interceptor has already completed proving ground trials.
