Ukraineis ready to launch a counteroffensive, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told The Wall Street Journal on June 3.
"In my opinion, as of today, we are ready to do it (launch a counteroffensive). We would like to have certain things, but we can't wait for months. We strongly believe we will succeed. I don't know how long it will take," he said.
Speaking about the weapons Ukraine are waiting for, the president said the most on his mind are fighter jets. He stressed that Russia maintains air superiority.
"Everyone knows perfectly well that any counter-offensive without air superiority is very dangerous," Zelenskyy emphasized.
