Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law ratifying the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, according to the Parliament’s website.
On Aug. 21, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the Rome Statute, allowing Ukraine to join the International Criminal Court.

The ratification, supported by 281 deputies, will enhance Ukraine's ability to hold Russian aggressors accountable and access the ISS Trust Fund for victims.
Ukraine first signed the Rome Statute on Jan. 20, 2000.
