Ukraine's Foreign Ministry firmly rejected US Rep. Victoria Spartz's call to cede territory to Russia, declaring that all Ukrainian land will remain Ukrainian, the Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi wrote on X on April 7.

He responded to her recent interview with The Telegraph, where Ukrainian-born Spartz made some controversial comments, suggesting that Ukrainians should "come to terms" with the loss of the Russian-occupied territories.

Spartz claimed she "doesn’t understand" how Ukraine "can demand to keep all its territories" then.

“Unlike Victoria, all of our land has always been — and will remain — Ukrainian,” Tykhyi wrote.

Early in Russia’s full-scale invasion, Spartz, a Republican member of the US House of Representatives, was a vocal supporter of US aid to Ukraine.

However, last year, she voted against a $61 billion aid package and accused the Ukrainian government of corruption — without providing any evidence.
