Ukraine has received the ninth tranche of $500 million from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced via X on July 1.

“Ukraine has received the ninth tranche from the International Monetary Fund. $500 million will go toward priority budget needs,” he wrote. “This follows the eighth review of the EFF cooperation program.”

Shmyhal noted that the IMF has already provided Ukraine with $10.6 billion under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.

“Grateful to the IMF for consistent and systemic support. It helps us remain resilient in the fight for freedom and move forward with recovery,” the prime minister added.

On June 30, 2025, the IMF Executive Board completed the eighth review of its cooperation program with Ukraine, with the funds designated to support priority budget expenditures.
