Border crossing operations resumed at the Tabaky international checkpoint on Ukraine's border with Moldova in Odesa Oblast, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service said on Aug. 22.
The Ukrainian side also informed Moldovan border guards. The checkpoint has now resumed normal operations.
Overnight into Aug. 21, Russian forces attacked the Tabaky international border crossing on Odesa Oblast’s border with Moldova with a Shahed drone for the second time in a week, damaging its infrastructure. The strike temporarily halted the movement of people and vehicles through the checkpoint, with traffic redirected to other border crossings.
During a massive combined attack overnight into Aug. 20, Russia targeted a border crossing with Moldova in Odesa Oblast with drones.
Moldova’s Defense Ministry said at the time that a Shahed-136 drone entered the country’s airspace during the overnight attack before returning to Ukraine.
