The opinions of 647 listeners regarding a proposed two to three-year mobilization term suggested by the Military Ombudsman's Office were gathered in a new poll by Radio NV on April 28.

The poll offered three answer options to the following question: "The Military Ombudsman's Office proposes mobilization with a clear term of 2-3 years. They say we are correcting our mistakes. What is your opinion?".

The responses were divided as follows:

  • It looks fair, I believe it and support it — 23%

  • I will make a decision when I read the adopted law — 38%

  • Correcting mistakes in the fifth year is not enough — 39%.

The poll results are not representative of the Ukrainian population as a whole.

Military Ombudsman Olha Reshetylova stated earlier that the Military Ombudsman's Office proposes introducing a two to three-year mobilization term for men in Ukraine to encourage people to join the military.

The head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko supported the ombudsman's statement.

About 1.6 million people can now replenish the military, as of Defense Ministry estimates. The state is looking for "ways of proper communication with the part of society that has withdrawn from defending" Ukraine.
