Ukraine releases footage of air defenses repelling massive Russian attack

Ukraine’s Air Force released footage showing air defense systems intercepting Russian aerial targets during Moscow’s massive combined missile and drone attack overnight on May 13-14.

The video shows combat operations carried out by units of Ukraine’s Air Command Center.

The footage includes mobile fire groups and interceptor drones in action.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia launched 56 ballistic, aeroballistic and cruise missiles, along with 675 drones, at Ukraine overnight into May 14, with Kyiv identified as the primary target. Ukrainian air defenses said they neutralized 652 drones and 41 missiles.

A day earlier, on May 13, Russia launched a massive drone attack involving 753 drones, mainly targeting western oblasts of Ukraine.

At least five people were killed and more than 40 injured in Kyiv as a result of the large-scale Russian strike. In the city’s Darnytskyi district, the entrance section of an apartment building collapsed, leaving people trapped under the rubble. According to Ukraine’s Interior Ministry, about 10 people remain missing.

In Kyiv Oblast, seven people were injured, including a 3-year-old child. Apartment buildings, private homes and businesses were damaged across six districts.

Russian strikes also targeted Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kremenchuk and Odesa Oblast.
