Special forces from the Security Service of Ukraine’s Alpha Special Operations Center struck a Russian Federal Security Service coordination center and personnel base in occupied Kherson Oblast, the SBU said on Monday, July 20.
About 100 Russian personnel may have been at the site when it was attacked, the agency said.
More than 70 vehicles were also present at the compound. The FSB coordination center was protected by armed guards, checkpoints, engineering barriers and underground shelters.
Thirteen Ukrainian drones struck the facility, sparking a large fire, the SBU said.
Such operations in occupied Ukrainian territory significantly disrupt Russian command, logistics and coordination while forcing Moscow to divert additional personnel to protect its facilities, the agency said.
