Ukraine’s renewed offensive in Kursk Oblast

Feb. 6: Russian Telegram channels reported a new Ukrainian offensive in Kursk, targeting the villages of Fanasiyivka and Ulanok. Some Russian military bloggers claimed that Ukraine took control of Cherkaska Konopelka and Ulanok.

Russia’s Defense Ministry later confirmed the Ukrainian advance.

Feb. 6: The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that Ukrainian forces had advanced up to five kilometers beyond Russian defensive lines southeast of Sudzha.

Feb. 7: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the Ukrainian advance, stating in an interview with Reuters that Ukraine’s Defense Forces had pushed 2.5 km forward in Kursk Oblast.

Feb. 7: Analysts from DeepState monitoring group confirmed Ukrainian troops had made gains near Cherkaska Konopelka in Kursk Oblast.
