Drone attack struck a liquefied petroleum gas storage base in Novospasskoye, Ulyanovsk Oblast, igniting a large-scale fire overnight, regional governor Alexey Russkikh announced on July 23.

Explosions echoed across the district before a massive fire erupted at the facility. Russkikh confirmed that a fuel and energy complex asset was hit, stating that emergency services were working on site to extinguish the blaze.

Monitoring channels reported that the strike targeted the liquefied gas storage base belonging to LLC NS-Oil in Novospasskoye. According to the Telegram channel Exilenova+, the drone attack continued into the morning of July 23.

The strike in Ulyanovsk Oblast was part of a broader overnight wave of drone attacks targeting strategic Russian assets:

Voronezh Raid: Drones attacked Voronezh overnight, with monitoring channels reporting a potential strike on a Wildberries logistics hub.

Moscow Oblast Interceptions: Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin claimed that Russian air defenses "destroyed" four drones heading toward the capital overnight.
