Russian brigade linked to bloody attack on Sumy on Palm Sunday reportedly hit again - video

The channel published photos and videos showing a fire that broke out in Shuya following the nighttime attack. Local residents claimed that it was once again the 112th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces that came under attack.

According to ASTRA, the video was filmed on Kooperativnaya Street in Shuya. This location is directly adjacent to the military installation — approximately 180 meters from the barracks of the 112th Guards Missile Brigade.

At the same time, the Telegram channel noted that it is not possible to determine from the footage exactly which building within the military complex was on fire.

The authorities in Ivanovo Oblast declared a drone strike alert in Shuya around 4:30 a.m. MSK.

On the morning of April 16, reports emerged that drones had targeted the 112th Guards Missile Brigade of the Russian army. No further details on the attack aftermath were provided. Residents reported hearing explosions, and videos circulated online showing drones flying over Shuya and an explosion, followed by a column of smoke rising above the city.

Palm Sunday missile strike on Sumy 

On Palm Sunday, April 13, Russian forces launched ballistic missiles at the center of Sumy. One missile struck a university, while the other exploded over a city street, killing 35 people — including two children. Among the victims were a trolleybus driver and nearly all the passengers, who were caught in the attack epicenter.

More than 125 people were injured, including 18 children.

Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov confirmed that the city was attacked with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. According to him, the missile crews of the 112th and 448th Missile Brigades, stationed in Liski (Voronezh Oblast) and Lezhenki (Kursk Oblast), were responsible for the attack.

On April 15, Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Ukrainian defense forces struck the permanent deployment site of the 448th Missile Brigade in Kursk Oblast — the same brigade involved in the Palm Sunday missile strike on Sumy.
