Feodosia refinery is the largest in occupied Crimea, with an annual capacity of 12 million tons of oil products and storage facilities capable of holding 250,000 tons at once. The facility has previously come under Ukrainian attack.

On Oct. 6, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed a strike on the Sea Oil Terminal in Feodosia, which also caused a fire. The next day, the blaze intensified and spread to additional storage tanks.
