A 3D model of Russia's new S-71K Kover cruise missile, developed by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) for the Su-57 and first deployed in late 2025, was published on the War&Sanctions portal by Military Intelligence (HUR) on April 27.

"A 250-kg FAB-250-270 high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb, integrated into the payload frame of the missile's nose, is used as the warhead," the military wrote.

"The body is made of a multi-layer fiberglass-based material with additional reinforcement, while internal elements are made of aluminum alloys."

The onboard control system includes a flight controller, an inertial navigation system based on simple sensors, and a power supply system, the HUR indicated.

"The vast majority of the electronic component base is of foreign origin: U.S., Chinese, Swiss, Japanese, German, Taiwanese, and Irish production," intelligence officials emphasized.

The missile is equipped with an R500 turbojet engine manufactured by Reynolds LLC, which is part of the UAC.

The S-71K's probable range of use is up to 300 kilometers thanks to the main and two side fuel tanks, HUR noted. However, the enemy is considering the possibility of using the missile from the S-70 Okhotnik UAV in the future.

Access to foreign technologies and components allows Russians to develop new means of destruction and scale up their use in the war against Ukraine, intelligence officers emphasized.

HUR released data on a new cruise missile that Russia has already used to attack Ukraine — Izdeliye-30 — in March.

It was noted that it has a wingspan of about three meters, a warhead weighing 800 kilograms, and a range of at least 1,500 kilometers.
