SBU detains four FSB agents in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts

The enemy agents monitored Ukrainian troop positions that Russia planned to strike with air power and long-range artillery.

Following a multi-stage special operation, four spies were detained simultaneously in both oblasts. Two of them worked as a pair, while the others operated separately, but all were coordinated by a single handler in Russia.

Investigators found that agents in Dnipro collected intelligence while employed at a local food warehouse. They photographed invoices from military units buying supplies there and sent the information to their Russian handler via messaging apps.

Two others were recruited in Kramatorsk district. One, a local postal worker, recorded Ukrainian defensive fortifications under the guise of work trips. The second filmed military freight trains heading toward the eastern front.

SBU officers said they identified the network in advance, documented its crimes, and arrested all its members. The two agents from Dnipro were recruited through Telegram channels offering “easy money,” while the others were targeted because they had relatives living in Russian-occupied territories.

The detainees have been charged under Article 111, Part 2 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (treason under martial law). All remain in custody without bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
