Operators from the 3rd Regiment of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) successfully eliminated an entire Russian platoon in a raid on an industrial complex in the Donetsk sector, the SSO command reported on Telegram on Feb. 26.

Only one soldier survived out of the entire Russian unit, as SSO operators forced him to surrender. The captive later revealed key intelligence on Russian troop concentrations and ammunition depots, which were destroyed the same day.

SSO reported that when Russian infantry occupied the industrial site, a SSO detachment devised and executed a special operation, deploying multiple strike groups to target the complex and its perimeter.

  • Drone operators initiated the assault, striking enemy positions with FPV drones and air-dropped munitions.
  • Once the defenses were weakened, Humvee (HMMWV) armored vehicles carrying SSO troops stormed the facility, systematically clearing all buildings.

Escalation in Donetsk Oblast

The raid comes amid intensified fighting in Donetsk Oblast, where Russian forces captured the village of Novocheretuvate on Feb. 26.

Meanwhile, DeepState monitoring group reported that Russian troops occupied the settlement of Zaporizhzhya in Donetsk Oblast and advanced near Skudne and Novocheretuvate, while Ukrainian forces successfully pushed them back near Uspenivka.
