Ukrainian swimmer sets world junior record in 4×50 relay - video

Ukrainian swimmer Mykyta Sheremet has set a new world junior record and a new Ukrainian record at the 2025 European Short Course Swimming Championships.
The 18-year-old swimmer took the first leg in the 4×50 m freestyle relay. Sheremet covered his distance in 20.84 seconds.
The previous world junior record belonged to Dutch swimmer Kenzo Simons, who posted a time of 20.98 seconds.
The previous Ukrainian record was set in August 2016 by Andrii Hovorov — Sheremet beat it by 0.12 seconds.

It should be noted that Team Ukraine finished fourth in the relay final. The swimmers managed to set a new national record with a time of 1:23.92.
