US aid transparency and accountability inspector arrives in Ukraine / The New Voice of Ukraine

Cardell Richardson, the Inspector General of the U.S. State Department, has arrived in Ukraine with a working visit, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced on Nov. 4.

“Great to welcome Cardell Richardson to Ukraine!” Brink wrote in a Twitter post.

“The OIG’s [Office of the Inspector General] work to ensure transparency & accountability of U.S. assistance is a critical part of our efforts to support Ukraine’s aspirations to join the EU & NATO & maintain public support for Ukraine’s fight for freedom.”

The visit was also confirmed by the OIG.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he had reached an agreement with U.S. President Joe Biden on the regular supply of military aid. According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is set to receive weapons packages every two to three weeks.

On Oct. 16, Biden announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth $425 million, with the weapons expected to arrive in the "coming months."

On Oct. 31, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced the expedited delivery of new security assistance to Ukraine.
