The United States is preparing to provide Ukraine with an additional $725 million in military aid, AP reported on Dec. 2, citing U.S. officials.

This package will include, among other things, anti-UAV systems and ammunition, although officials did not confirm whether that includes ammunition for HIMARS rocket artillery systems. Sources indicated that Ukraine has emphasized the need for more ATACMS missiles to strike additional targets on Russian territory.

Additionally, the new aid package will contain more anti-personnel landmines, aimed at slowing the advance of Russian and North Korean troops in Russia's Kursk Oblast.

On Nov. 8, the Pentagon announced plans to use all available funds for Ukraine aid programs by the end of President Joe Biden's term, which amounts to approximately $6 billion.

On Nov. 27, Biden proposed that Congress approve an additional $24 billion in funding for security assistance to Ukraine.
