Vereshchuk to become Yermak’s deputy

Former Deputy PM and Reintegration Minister Iryna Vereshchuk will become a new deputy to Andriy Yermak, the head of the President’s Office, Vereshchuk announced on Sept. 4. Vereshchuk resigned on Sept. 3.

“The President [Volodymyr Zelenskyy] said he needs me in the Office of the President,” she wrote in a Telegram post.

“Therefore, I will transition to the position of Deputy Head. I serve the Ukrainian people.”

Over the coming days, the Ukrainian parliament will vote to appoint new heads of over half of Cabinet ministries—a part of a major government reshuffle.
