‘We got out 30 seconds before impact’: Burned apartment shown in Kharkiv

“That’s how we live: the ‘Russian world,’ negotiations. We’re exhausted,” said Mariia, who was showing the burned-out apartment of her friend Yuliia.

According to her, her friend and her husband “managed to get into the corridor literally 30 seconds before the strike.”

The number of people injured in the Russian attack on Kharkiv has risen to 31, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.

Overnight on Jan. 24, Russia launched a massive Shahed drone attack on Kharkiv, with dozens of explosions reported. Residential buildings, a dormitory and a maternity hospital were damaged. Earlier reports said the injured included a child and a pregnant woman.

Overall, Russian forces launched two Zircon anti-ship missiles, 12 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles, six Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missile, and 375 attack drones at Ukraine. Two missiles and 18 drones struck 17 locations, while debris fell at 12 locations.
