“I briefed on the front-line situation and the results of the counteroffensive near Dobropillia and Pokrovsk," he wrote.
"We also touched on the development of Ukraine–U.S. cooperation, particularly mutually beneficial agreements on drones and the purchase of U.S.-made weapons that Ukraine has proposed.”
The president also thanked Kellogg for his support and assistance, highlighting the role of President Donald Trump in facilitating the end of the war.
Zelenskyy earlier met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The two discussed ways to end the war, security guarantees, and prospects for economic cooperation.
On Sept. 21, Zelenskyy announced that he plans to hold nearly 20 international meetings during his visit to New York for the UN General Assembly.
“We are preparing for a very intense week — a week of diplomacy. Much can be achieved if partners hear us and support the proposals that truly bring the end of the war closer," the President said.
"This will be the week of the UN General Assembly — with various events and meetings. Already on the schedule are nearly two dozen meetings with leaders from all over the world, with both long-standing supporters of Ukraine and new partners.”
The president noted that the first meetings were scheduled for Sept. 22, with a meeting with US President Donald Trump among the highlights later in the week.
“There will also be an important event on the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia — a truly global summit on this issue. It is important that this week adds resolve to the world for strong action — because without strength, peace will not prevail,” he concluded.
