Russian soldiers could soon be deployed to fight alongside Iran — Zelenskyy

Ukrainian leader stressed that Russia began supporting the Iranian regime with drones and air defense, and also "will definitely help with missiles."

"What's next? Given the situation, only one question arises: when and which country will be the first to support the Iranian regime by sending troops?" he asked rhetorically.

"Just as it happened with Russia when North Korea sent 10,000 soldiers who are now deployed in Russia but who could be sent to Ukraine. The same could happen in Iran — Russia could send troops there."

In addition, the president stated that the conflict in the Middle East is one of the greatest risks to the world in recent years and could escalate into a world war. According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian intelligence is already recording many Russian-made components in the strike UAVs used by Iran in the war and attacking U.S. bases.

On March 10, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has already sent three teams of experts to the Middle East to help combat Iranian drones. The first countries where Ukrainian specialists went were Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

That same day, he reported that the Ukrainian authorities are discussing the supply of air defense missiles with Middle Eastern partners in exchange for a drone deal. According to him, they discussed, in particular, the supply of PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles.

On March 2, the Bloomberg agency wrote that Zelenskyy proposed sending the best Ukrainian specialists in destroying Iranian drones to the Middle East if the leaders of these countries convince Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to agree to a one-month truce in the war against Ukraine.
