Zelenskyy says Ukraine has support among Putin’s circle for peace

Zelenskyy made the statement during his evening address on July 10.

“Today, there are new results from our Defense Forces in long-range sanctions against Russia,” Zelenskyy said.

“The fuel crisis in Russia is deepening, which is entirely fair in response to Putin’s unwillingness to end this war. We have made proposals on how to bring peace closer. We have support not only among partners around the world, but also among Putin’s circle regarding peace. They understand what is happening there and that there is no alternative to peace.”

Zelenskyy said this perception would continue to grow inside Russia.

Earlier on July 10, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian long-range drones had struck a number of strategic facilities inside Russia over the past week, including the Omsk Oil Refinery.

There is now no Russian oil refinery that Ukrainian weapons cannot reach, he said.

Units of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have also struck 48 Russian vessels over the past 120 hours, including ships from Russia’s shadow fleet.

Ukraine has become stronger both on the battlefield and in the air, while Russia no longer has an advantage on the front line, Zelenskyy said July 9.

All of Ukraine’s partners recognize this, he added.
