It’s noted that this is not a complete list, as many of Zelenskyy's statements in Ukrainian were not included by the channel.
During a meeting in the Oval Office on February 28, both U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance told Zelenskyy that he was allegedly "not grateful enough" for the country’s support.
"You should be grateful. You have no trump cards," Trump said.
"Did you even say thank you for this whole meeting?" Vance asked.
CNN points out that Zelenskyy has repeatedly thanked the U.S. since Russia's full-scale invasion began in February 2022, expressing gratitude to both Trump and former President Joe Biden, members of Congress from both parties, American defense companies and their employees, and the American people.
The publication listed all of Zelenskyy’s public statements in English where he expressed gratitude to the U.S., starting from January 21, 2022, when he thanked Biden "for unprecedented diplomatic and military assistance," and ending on February 12, 2025, after a phone call with Trump.

On Feb. 28, a live debate erupted during a press conference between Zelenskyy and Trump in the Oval Office. The U.S. president told Zelenskyy he “should be grateful” and accused Ukraine of “playing with World War III,” cutting the Ukrainian President off from responding fully.
At one point, Trump told Zelenskyy, “either you make a deal or we’re out.”
Vice President J.D. Vance defended Trump, saying Zelenskyy “should be grateful to the president of the United States,” who is “trying to prevent the destruction of his country.”
Afterward, the Ukrainian delegation left the White House early, and the U.S. and Ukraine did not sign a framework agreement on minerals.
Trump claimed Zelenskyy “is not a person who wants peace,” while asserting that Vladimir Putin, according to him, wants to end the war.
In an interview with Fox News, Zelenskyy said he does not feel the need to apologize to Trump after their dispute at the White House but emphasized his respect for the American people.
He also believes relations with Trump can be restored and expressed his readiness to finalize a minerals deal.
